Description

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, also referred to as UNC- Chapel Hill, or UNC, is the state's flagship public school. It is also the oldest public school in the nation. It is among one of the top universities in the country, and its admissions are considered very selective with and acceptance rate of 28.5%. The school is among one of the only two public universities (University of Virginia) to meet full demonstrated need for US citizens and Permanent Residents. Though the school does not extend need-based aid to international students, it does work to diversify their student body and faculty.
